1. Convert 54 km/hr. into metre/second.
2. Calculate Time-period of a simple pendulum if it takes 72 seconds to complete 24 oscillations.
3. A train is travelling at a speed of 100 km/hr. How long will it take to complete a journey of 500 km without
stopping in between?
4. Ramesh takes 15 minutes to reach market from his house on this cycle. If the speed of his cycle is 4 m/s calculate
the distance between his house and market

Answer:

1.)  54 x 5/18 =  15m/s

2)  The time period of a simple pendulum if it takes 72 seconds to complete 24 oscillation will be 3 seconds.

3)  it will take 5hr as the speed is 100km/ph and it is going non stop

4) .FORMULA TO BE USED :-

Distance = Speed × Time

 

Putting the known values in the above formula :-

Distance = 4 × 900

⇒Distance = 3600 m

⇒Distance = 3600/1000 km

⇒Distance = 3.6 km

∴ Therefore, the distance between the market and his home is 3.6 km.
