Answer:

Option A

Step-by-step explanation:

Given Question:-

A shopkeeper has a total daily collection of * 11,200, 310,650, 11,870 and 12,180 in 4 consecutive months. What should be the daily

collection in the fifth month such that the average daily collection for 5 months become 11,050?

Correct Question:-

A shopkeeper has a total daily collection of

Rs.11,200, Rs. 10,650,Rs. 11,870 and Rs. 12,180 in 4 consecutive months. What should be the daily

collection in the fifth month such that the average daily collection for 5 months become Rs.11,050?

Solution:-

Given that

Daily collection of a shopkeeper in first month = Rs. 11200

Daily collection of a shopkeeper in second month = Rs. 10650

Daily collection of a shopkeeper in third month = Rs. 11870

Daily collection of a shopkeeper in fourth month = Rs. 12180

Let the Daily collection of a shopkeeper in fifth month = Rs. X

Sum of all daily collection of the shopkeeper in five months =

= 11200+10650+11870+12180+X

= Rs. (45900+X)

Number of months = 5

We know that

Average = Sum of all observations/ Number of all observations

Average of daily collection of 5 months

Average = Sum of all collections/ Number of months

Average = (45900+X)/5

According to the given problem

The average daily collection for 5 months

= Rs.11,050

=> (45900+X)/5 = 11,050

=> 45900+X = 11050×5

=> 45900+X = 55250

=> X = 55250-45900

=> X = Rs. 9350

Daily collection in fifth month = Rs. 9350

Answer:-

The daily collection of the shopkeeper for the fifth month is Rs. 9350

Used formula:-

Average = Sum of all observations / Number of all observations
