11. During silk production, cocoons are thrown in boiling water. As a result, the silk worms die. So, animal activists are against it.

12. a). Curd, lemon juice and tamarind all contain acid. So they are acidic and          acids are sour in taste.

    b). i). ammonium hydroxide (NH4OH)

         ii). sodium hydroxide (NaOH) or potassium hydroxide (KOH)

    c). iv). A if false but R is true
