Answer:

x-2=0

x=2

P(x)=3x²+kx

P(2)=3(2)²+k×2

P(2)=3×4+2k

P(2)=12+2k

Since (x-2) is the factor of the polynomial 3x²+kx

Therefore remainder is 0

12+2k=0

2k= -12

k= -12/2

k= -6

Therefore the value of k is -6
