Answer:

16 = 4 + 3( t + 2)

\sf\longrightarrow\sf{ 16 = 4 + 3t + 6}

\sf\longrightarrow\sf{ 16 = 10 + 3t}

\sf\longrightarrow\sf{ 16 - 10 = 3t}

\sf\longrightarrow\sf{ 6  = 3t}

\sf\longrightarrow\sf{ t = \dfrac{6}{3}}

\sf\longrightarrow\sf{ t = 2}

4 + 5 ( p - 1 ) = 34

\sf\longrightarrow\sf{4 + 5 ( p - 1) = 34}

\sf\longrightarrow\sf{4 + 5p - 5 = 34}

\sf\longrightarrow\sf{5p - 1 = 34}

\sf\longrightarrow\sf{5p  = 34 + 1}

\sf\longrightarrow\sf{5p  = 35}

\sf\longrightarrow\sf{p  = \dfrac{35}{5}}

\sf\longrightarrow\sf{p  = 7}
