Given,

The triplets are 8,15,17

  • A triplet (a,b,c) is called  Pythagorean if the sum of the squares of the two smallest numbers is equal to the square of the biggest number.

The smallest numbers are 8 and 15. The square of these two numbers equal to square of biggest number.

So,

17^{2}=8^{2}+15^{2}

289=64+225

289=289

Therefore, (8,15,17) triplets are Pythagorean.
