COVID-19 A global threat:
Although WHO has yet to call the outbreak of SARS-CoV-2 infection a pandemic, it has confirmed that the virus is likely to spread to most, if not all, countries. Regardless of terminology, this latest coronavirus epidemic is now seeing larger increases in cases outside China. As of March 3, more than 90 000 confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been reported in 73 countries. The outbreak in northern Italy, which has seen 11 towns officially locked down and residents threatened with imprisonment if they try to leave, shocked European political leaders. Their shock turned to horror as they saw Italy become the epicentre for further spread across the continent. As the window for global containment closes, health ministers are scrambling to implement appropriate measures to delay spread of the virus. But their actions have been slow and insufficient. There is now a real danger that countries have done too little, too late to contain the epidemic.
Importance of English in curriculum:
English is, almost certainly, the most important subject that a child can learn in school. Without knowing proper English, a child will not be able to communicate effectively with the English speaking nation. They would be shut off from education and other people in this country. A person who does not poses proper English limits his or her ability to achieve their highest potential. Knowledge of the English language is important to learn to be able to communicate with others, in the teaching of immigrant students, and in finding and maintaining a job. By assuming that students will learn proper communication skills without guidance is a big mistake.
Cleanliness is next to godliness:
Cleanliness is Godliness. The first lesson a kid learns is cleanliness. From keeping ourselves clean till keeping the country clean comes under this. As budding students it is our duty not only to keep our home clean, but also our streets and school. Anything that we find as waste in road we should throw it in the dustbin. It is also our duty to educate others that Cleanliness is next to Godliness. More important is to teach that cleanliness in food prevents many diseases. It is good have clean habits. Washing hands before and after eating; bathing twice a day; keeping ourselves clean the whole day -these habits keeps us enthusiastic always. People will like to appreciate and join with the ones who have clean habits. So, always remember Cleanliness is Godliness.
