SOLUTION

TO SOLVE

Solve the following LPP graphically.

Minimise Z = 200x + 500y

subject to Constraints

x + 2y > 10, 3x + 4y < 24,

x > 0, y > 0.

EVALUATION

Here the given LPP is

Minimise Z = 200x + 500y

subject to Constraints

x + 2y > 10, 3x + 4y < 24,

x > 0, y > 0.

We plot the two constraints along with the non negativity condition

Graph : Graph is referred to the attachment

ABC is the required feasible region

The region is bounded

The corner points are A(4,3) , B(0,6) , C(0,5)

Now at A(4,3) we have Z = 2300

At B(0,6) We have Z = 3000

At C(0,5) we have z = 2500

Hence Min Z = 2300 at A(4,3)

FINAL ANSWER

Hence Min Z = 2300 when x = 4 & y = 3
