Answer:

let the breadth is x cm

so,length is (x+3)cm

perimeter =2(length+breadth)

2(x+3+x)=22

=> 2x+3=22/2=11

=> 2x=11-3=8

=> x=8/2=4

so breadth of the rectangle is 4 cm and length of the rectangle is (4+3)cm=7cm

Given :

⬤ Length of Rectangle is 3 cm more than its Breadth.

⬤ Perimeter of Rectangle is 22 cm .

To Find :

⬤ Length of Rectangle .

⬤ Breadth of Rectangle .

Formula Used :

\bf[\:{Perimeter \: of \: Rectangle = 2(l+b)}\:]

  • l = Length
  • b = Breadth

Solution :

Let :

  • Breadth of Rectangle be x .
  • Length of Rectangle be x + 3

According to the Formula :-

22 = 2(x + 3 + x)

22 = 2(2x + 3)

22 = 4x + 6

22 - 6 = 4x

16 = 4x

16/4 = x

4 = x

Therefore , Value of x is 4 .

Hence ,

Breadth of Rectangle = x

= 4

Length of Rectangle = x + 3

= 4 + 3

= 7

Therefore , Length and Breadth of Rectangle are 4 cm and 7 cm .

Check :

22 = 2(l + b)

22 = 2(7 + 4)

22 = 14 + 8

22 = 22

Hence Checked
