Answer:

The relative density of metal piece is 0.6

Step-by-step explanation:

Given as :

The weigh of metal in air = w_a = 200 gf

The weigh of metal in water = w_w = 150 gf

The weight of metal in liquid = w_l = 170 gf

Let the relative density of metal piece = \rho

According to question

\rho = \dfrac{loss of weight in liquid}{loss of weight in water}

Or, \rho = \dfrac{w_a - w_l}{w_a - w_w}

or, \rho  = \dfrac{200-170}{200-150}

Or, \rho  = \dfrac{3}{5}

∴  \rho  = 0.6

Hence, The relative density of metal piece is 0.6 Answer
