Given :  triangle ABC in such a way that a=7cm, b=5cm and c=4cm.

To Find : Construct triangle ABC

Perpendicular from A on BC

Solution:

a = 7 cm = BC

b = 5 cm = AC

c = 4 cm  = AB

Step 1 : Draw a line segment AB = 4 cm

Step 2 : Using compass width = 5 cm and taking A as center draw an arc

Step 3 : Using compass width = 7 cm and taking B as center  draw an arc such that it intersect arc drawn in previous step at C

Step 4 : Join AC and BC

To Draw  AD ⊥  BC

Step 1 : Using suitable compass width and taking A as center cut BC at X and Y

Step 2 : Using suitable compass width and taking  X as center draw an arc

Step 3 : keeping compass width same and taking  Y as center draw an arc such that it intersect arc drawn in previous step at Z

Step 4 : join AZ , intersecting BC at D
