Given :- Find the area of the shaded region-Given APC & BPD are semi circles of radius 5 cm.

Answer :-

from image we can see that,

• Side of ABCD = Diameter of semi - circle = 5 * 2 = 10 cm .

so,

→ shaded area = (1/4)[ Area of ABCD - Area of 2 semi - circles.]

→ shaded area = (1/4)[(10)² - 2 * (πr²)/2]

→ shaded area = (1/4)[ 100 - 3.14 * (5)²]

→ shaded area = (1/4)[ 100 - 78.5 ]

→ shaded area = (1/4) * 21.5

→ shaded area = 5.375 cm² (Ans.)
