a × (b + c) = a × b + a × c

This statement is true......

For example,

Let a = 2 , b = 3 , c = 4

L.H.S. = a*(b + c)

= 2*(3 + 4) = 2*7 = 14

R.H.S. = a*b + a*c

= 2*3 + 2*4 = 6 + 8 = 14

So, L.H.S. = R.H.S.

  • This is known as distributive property......

Here is your answer.....
