Q2. A farmer moves along the boundary of a square field of side 10 m in 40 second what

will be the magnitude of displacement of the farmer at the end of 2 minutes 20 second

from his initial position?​

Answer:14.14 (approx)

Explanation:In 40 seconds he moved 40 metres (if you have doubt see the question) so in 2 mins 20 secs (140 secs) he should move 3/2 times the boundary of the square (distance)

So Displacement = diagonal of the square .

We can find displacement by Pythagorus theorem (a^2+b^2 = c^2)

10^2 + 10^2 = √diagonal

200 = √diagonal

Diagonal = √200

√200 = 14.14 (approx)

Displacement = 14.14 (approx)
