Given

  • Weight = 400 N
  • Area of heel = 0.0003

To Find

  • Pressure if all the weight is on one heel

Solution

Pressure = Force/Area

As the Area reduce the pressure increases and as the area increase the pressure also decrease

P ∝ 1/A

Pressure Applied :

→ Pressure = Force/Area

→ Pressure = 400/0.0003

→ Pressure = 1333333.33 Pa

  • Note that Weight = Force applied. Weight is equal to the force applied by the body on the ground

Answer:

Given :-

  • A girl weighing 400 N has shoes with wedge heels. Each heel has an area of 0.0003 m².

To Find :-

  • What is the pressure does she put on the floor.

Formula Used :-

Pressure = Force ÷ Area

Solution :-

Given :

  • Force = 400 N
  • Area = 0.0003 m²

According to the question by using the formula we get,

⇒ Pressure = 400 ÷ 0.0003

Pressure = 1333333.33 Pascal

The pressure does she put on the floor is 1333333.33 Pascal .
