Q2. Can we use methanol for washing of dye in gram staining? If YES/NO, justify your answer with explanation?​

Methanol is a fixative agent not a washing agent. Methanol helps in better visualisation using gram stain. It is also an alternative for heat fixation as heat can kill cells but methanol cannot.
