Mean = sum of all the observations / total no of observations

According to this formula , we can find the the mean of 26 , 35 , 40 , 26 and 23 .

= Sum of all observations = 26 + 35 + 40 + 26 + 23 = 150

= Sum of all observations = 150

= Total no of observations = 5

= Mean = sum of all the observations / total no of observations

= Mean of the given data = 150/5

=Mean of the given data = 30

Therefore , the mean of the data :- 26 , 35 , 40 , 26 , 23 = 30 .
