x = -2

(-2)2+(p+1)(-2+4=0

4-2p-2+4=0

8-2p-2=0

6-2p = 0

2p = 6

p = 3

x = 3

(3)2+(p+1)(3)+4=0

9+3p+3+4=0

16+3p = 0

p = 16/3
