Food can be preserved in following ways as -

1 Keeping in Airtight Container-

It ensures that food with oils donot get smelly and rancid.

2 Refrigeration-

By refrigeration of food too we can preserve food as pathogens don't get proper temperature to attack and replicate.

• Cooling- It prevents the growth and reproduction of microorganisms because they are not able to reproduce at low temperatures.
• Canning- Food is sterilised and then canned in airtight containers. This prevents the growth of microorganisms.
