Tana Bana is an organization in Bhagalpur, Bihar. This organization
produces silk and hand-woven products such as silk sarees, stoles,
duppattas, kurtas and fabric made of Bhagalpur silk. It was founded by Mr.
Vikas K Pathak in 2009.
"Tana - Bana" are the two Hindi words which mean "warp and weft of a
cloth". Warp and weft maintain the balance of a cloth. Hence, "Tana-Bana"
is often synonymously used for the balance of life's up and downs". And
this organization completely justifies this name. Because "Tana- Bana" is
a venture to create a self-sustaining organization co-owned by artisans,
weavers, promoters and Investors.
Tana-Bana is a main supplier of silk to fab India and many other small
retailers. It also has created a platform to sell its products online. It is the
only company in Bihar and Jharkhand that offers cash-on-delivery system.
Since 2009, Tana-Bana has been gaining a great customer response. Its
silk sarees and duppattas are loved by Indian women very much.
