Living at the foothills of the Himalayas was a 12 year old girl whose name was Renu. She was very loving and caring but her economic situation was very poor. She couldn't afford to go to school and used to work in the fields to help her parents. Once, when she had gone to the river to fetch water, she saw a little boy struggling to get out of the water and shouting for help. Without a second thought, she dived into the river and saved the boy from drowning. That boy was the son of a local landlord. The little boy thanked her and asked her name and address. She told him and the very next day he was there with his father. His father had decided to get Renu fecilitated with an award for bravery and to pay for her schooling. She was very grateful and shyly accepted. She grew up to become a very successful woman.
