New Year is a time where everybody thinks of treasuring the cheerful spirit of the moment. There are unique ways to experience and explore more about the story of the New Year.

As the day approaches, college students and even school going children get indulged in writing essays on the relevance of New Year that they can celebrate this day with so much beatitude and hopefulness.

In traditional times, it was a Roman calendar which had only ten months and designated 1st March as the New Year. However, in the Gregorian calendar, there are 12 months in every year and the New Year falls on 1st January, and this date is widely accepted and celebrated.

My family and I, as family tradition, spend every new year’s eve at home. We don’t go out to party, to a concert or spend it in another house. We believe that we all have to stick together in our own home as the new year rolls in as it signifies unity.I didn't realise that it was 31st of December until I read the morning newspaper at the night!

So, it was a usual day at home. I went to my tutions and it continued till 9 at night. I came home, saw the newspaper and was *not surprised at all* ..ok, I was surprised

We celebrated a New year 2020 day with a purpose. we all waits for this New Year Day every Year but there are many needy people waits for at least one time meal so we decided to distribute food packets and water bottles for needy people on the night of 31st December around 9:30 PM to 11:30 PM and Jan 1st night around 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM.

Few people contributed money and they came for distribution too, We packed everything in car and with 4 bikes we were ready for distribution. We started to search for needy people near road sides, temples, metro station and bus stations, they were many people who wanted food, we given 1 packet and 1 water bottle to each and few people who slept without having food from morning and some pregnant women’s they were asking few more packets and water bottles. we were sad to see and know all this things from them and at the same time we were happy to distribute food to them. It felt more happy to see smiles on their faces.
