Answer:

Year-Wise Percentage of Attendance in Senior Secondary Schools in India

The table shows year-wise percentage of attendance in four different types of schools of

India. The percentage of attendance is recorded with the gap of 5 years. It makes the

comparison of percentage of attendance from the year 2000 to 2015. The table

illustrates the interesting data regarding the position of four different types of schools in

India.

As the given table depicts, across time, from the year 2000 to 2015, there is a steady and

healthy increase in the percentage of attendance in all the four types of schools. The

attendance in convent-run schools is much higher compared to the other three types of

schools. Initially the village schools showed a noticeably poor percentage in attendance.

While the General English Medium schools showed less percentage of attendance

compared to the Convent-run schools.

All in all, the continuous higher percentage indicates that the relevant authorities are

concerned about improving the education of the country. The poor attendance in the

year 2010 in the Government-run village schools shows a big leap in the year 2015,

indicating that the Government must have taken an effective measure to improve the

literacy in the villages. Noteworthy attendance in convent-run schools indicates the solid

infrastructure and focus towards the healthy growth of the corresponding authorities.

The table helps us to analyze the percentage of attendance in secondary schools in India. From the above table we see that between the years 2005 to 2015 the attendance in government schools in the city went up from 62% to 78%. The attendance shot up by 16%.

The attendance in government schools in the village was very low in comparison to the attendance of the government schools in the city.

The attendance moved very gradually from 24% to 44% between the years 2005 to 2015.

The attendance in General English medium schools were 52% in the year 2005 and dropped by 3% in the year 2005. However in the year 2010 to 2015 itwent up by 5% and 10% respectively.

Attendance of students in Convent run schools are very high. In the year 2000 the percentage of attendance was 80.5 % and gradually went up to 89%.

If we compare all the schools we see that the attendance is lowest in government run schools in the villages and highest in the convent run schools.

It could be that the convent run schools are not as flexible as the government run schools. And therefore the attendance is taken lightly by students.
