because when he lied about his teacher   he felt guilty that he lied about his teacher and he thought his teacher can be fired so his intentions where not to harm anyone

Yes, Swami was a lazy boy and good at making excuses as he made an excuse of headache and made a bad impression of his teacher to his father but he didn't want to  harm anyone because when he lied about his teacher he felt guilty that he spoke everything wrong about his teacher. He thought his teacher can be fired if the letter was given to the principal or if the principal knew anything, so his intentions where not to harm anyone
