Q2. The height of a plant is increasing at the rate of 8 cm per week. After how
many weeks will the height of the plant be 71 cm if the present height
of the plant is 15 cm.​

Therefore, we can frame the equation as,

8n + Present height = Height after n weeks.

∴ 8n + 15 = 71

∴ 8n = 56

∴ n = 7

Hence, the no. of weeks is 7.
