2. The shehnai is was created by a barber (nai) who played it in the king's court (shah). This lead to it being named- Shehnai. At first, the shehnai was used only in weddings and other ritualistic occassions  as it's sound was considered auspicious.

3. The poem 'Rain on the Roof' was written by Coates Kinney. In the poem he depicts the ambience created on a rainy day. He depicts his varied reactions to the sound of raindrops falling on the roof of his house. He says that the raindrops at night are like tears shed by the sad, dark night. According to him the sound of rain drops helps him fall asleep and gives him sweet dreams. The tinkle of the shingles refreshes the memories of his mother in his mind. On the whole, the poem is about the poet's experience of a rainy day in his cottage.
