Solution: The HCF of two numbers is the highest common factor of those numbers. Since a prime number has only 1 and the number itself has its factors, therefore, only 1 is their common factor as well as its HCF.

Now, the relation between HCF, LCM and the numbers are:

HCF * LCM = Product of the numbers

=> 1 * LCM = Product of the numbers

=> LCM = Product of the numbers

Therefore, the LCM of two prime numbers is equal to their product and 1 is their only common factor.
