see I will tell you a short cut

first find the area of the full circle

if you then you will get it as 113.04

make a smart move

divide it by 2 to get the area of the semi circle in which the shaded area lies more

you will get 56.52

now take the other semi circle with diameter as QR

the radius is 4cm

find the area of that semi circle

you will get it as 25.12

now subtract this area with the bigger one i.e 56.52-25.12

you will get 31.40

keep it aside take the smallest semicircle with diameter pq

the radius is 2cm

find the area

you will get 6.28

now add this with the one we kept aside

i.e 31.40+6.28

we get

37.68 and that's the answer
