Answer:-

a) 7.5 ohms

b) 0.4 Amperes

Explanation:

See...

In the question first we will solve parallel connections. So let the equivalent resistance Parallel connection of 2 ohm and 2 ohm in first be R1 and 1 ohm and 1 ohm be R2....

1/R1= (1/2)+(1/2)

1/R1=2/2

1/R1=1

Reciprocal both....

R1 = 1 ohm

Now for R2

1/R2 = (1/1)+(1/1)

1/R2=1+1

1/R2=2

Therefore R2=1/2 ohms

Now all resistance are in series so, now nomally add all;

Equivalent Resistance = 3+3+1+1/2

=7+1/2

=15/2

=7.5 ohms

b)Now to find current we will use Ohm's law as we know=>

i)Voltage(V)=3 Volts

ii)Resistance(R) = 7.5 ohms

Current(I)=?

we know ohm's law formula is=>

V=IR

V/R=I

Put the values:

3/7.5=I

30/75=I

2/5=I

0.4 Ampere = I
