∴ Area (ΔBED) = Area (ΔABE)

Area (ΔBED) = (1/2)Area (ΔABD)

Area (ΔBED) = (½ ) x(1/2) Area (ΔABC) [From (1)]

∴ Area (ΔBED) = (1/4)Area (ΔABC).
