So passengers in bus = (P/2 +35)

At 2nd stop, 1/5th leave..so 4/5th is still present and 40 enter

Now the total in bus is =

4/5(P/2+35) +40 = 80

4/5( P/2+35) = 40

P/2+35= 40×5/4

P/2+35=50

P/2=15

P=15×2

P=30
