Answer:

Solution :

Given: X¯¯¯12=600,X¯¯¯1=620,X¯¯¯2=520

Let N1 =Male Employees and N2 = Female Employees

Using the formula of combined arithmetic mean, we have

X¯¯¯12=X¯¯¯1N1+X¯¯¯2N2N1+N2

600=(620)N1+(520)N2N1+N2

Or, 600(N1+N2)=620N1+520N2

Or, 600N1+600N2=620N1+520N2

Or, 600N2−520N2=620N1−600N1

80N2=20N1

Or, N1N2=8020=41

Or, N1:N2=4:1

Hence, the percentage of male employees = 44+1×100=80%

and the percentage of female employees = 14+1×100=20%.
