The mars orbiter mission (MOM) , informally called Mangalyaan is a planned mars orbiter launched in November 2013 by ISRO. The mission is a 'technology demonstrator'. Project aiming,to develop the technologies required for design, planning management and operation of an inter planery mission. The mars orbiter mission probe was lift off from Sriharikota using PSLV rocket on November 5 2013. This is India's first mission to Mars. MAVEN(mars atmospheric and volatile evolution)NASA launched it in 18th November 2013.
