Dear Student,

(a) x is multiplied by itself and then added to the product of x and y. Ans: x×x+x×y⇒x2+xy
(b) Three times of p and two times of q are multiplied and then subtracted from r.Ans: r−(3p×2q) ⇒r−6pq
(c) Sum of the products of a and b, b and c and c and a. Ans: ab+bc+ca
(d) Perimeter of an equilateral triangle of side x.Ans: Perimeter of equilateral triangle= 3×x⇒ 3x

(a) when x is multiplied by x then we get x² and when we multiply x and y, we get xy

So here, we have to add the product of x × x and x×y

So answer is x²+xy

(B) Here, 3 times p is 3p and 2 times q is 2q and their product is 6pq and we have to subtract the product from r .....

So answer is r-(6pq)

(c) Products of a and b, b and c and c and a are ab,bc and ca respectively

And when we add all

We get, ab+bc+ca

(D) as we know that perimeter of a triangle is sum of the lenght of its 3 sides

And we know that sides of equilateral triangle are equal in length,

So answer is 3+x
