Answer:

144cm square

Step-by-step explanation:

area of trapezium= (sum of parallel side/2)*h

=[(a+b)/2] * h

= (14cm+18cm)/2*9cm

= (32cm/2)*9cm

=16cm*9cm

=144cm square

Given:-

  • Parallel sides of a trapezium are 14cm & 18cm.
  • Distance btw them is 9cm.

To find:-

  • The area of trapezium.

Solution:-

We know :

Area of trapezium = 1/2 × h × ( sum of parallel sides )

Acc to question :

=> Sum of parallel sides = 14 + 18 = 32cm.

=> Area of trapezium = 1/2 (9)(32)

                              = 9(16)

                               = 144 cm².

Therefore ,

The area of trapezium is 144cm²

Hence, Option (B) is correct.
