her father, the king, had sent invitations to her birthday party to males only and not to females .
Her mother had invited the lords but not the ladies, the dukes but not the Duchess, the counts but not the countess. Her brother, the prince , had asked a wizard but not a witch and a lad from the village, but not a lass .
"What were you thinking? You will have to send a new invitation. I want women as well as men at my party," she demanded.
