  • FORCE = MASS × ACCELERATION

  • ACCELERATION = FORCE / MASS

.Hence we find a as -:

a = F/m

49/5

⇒ a = 9.8

Answer= 9.8 m/s²

Given-

F= ma

F = 49

m=5

To find -

Value of a

Solution-

Newtons second law motion states that, the time rate of change of the momentum of a body is equal in both magnitude and direction to the force imposed on it.

F= ma         (Is a second law motion)

F is force

m is mass

a is acceleration

By putting value in the given equation

49 = 5 \times a

a= \frac{49}{5}

a=9.8

The value of a is 9.8
