SOLUTION

TO DETERMINE

If the coordinates of the two points are A(-9,2) and B( 4,1) then (abscissa of A) * (ordinate of B)

EVALUATION

Here the given points are A(-9,2) and B( 4,1)

We know that for a given point (a, b)

Abscissa = a

Ordinate = b

For the point A(-9,2) abscissa of A = - 9

For the point B( 4,1) ordinate of B = 1

Thus we have

(abscissa of A) * (ordinate of B)

= - 9 × 1

= - 9
