Question:-

Simplify:

(2 \sqrt{5}  -  \sqrt{2} )(2 \sqrt{5}  +  \sqrt{2} )

Required Formula:-

(a + b)(a - b) =  {a}^{2}  -  {b}^{2}

Solution:-

(2 \sqrt{5}  -  \sqrt{2} )(2 \sqrt{5}  +  \sqrt{2} )

 = ( {2 \sqrt{5} })^{2}  - ( { \sqrt{2} })^{2}

 = (4 \times 5) - (2)

 =  > 20 - 2 = 18

Final Answer:-

= 18
