The diagnols of a rhombus bisect each other at 90°.

Let ABCD be the rhombus and their diagonals bisect at point O.

Now using Pythagoras theorem,

Side AB²=OA²+OB²

AB²=6²+8²(Diagonals bisect each other)

AB²=36+64=100

AB= 10 cm
