Solution :

It is given that the price of a packet of buns is Rs. 12 more than the cost of a loaf of bread .

Let us assume that a loaf of bread costs Rs. x .

So , the packet of buns will cost 12 more or Rs. ( x + 12 )

Now , Pooja buys a loaf of bread and 2 packets of buns.

So , the cost of these items becomes ;

=> x + 2( x + 12)

=> x + 2x + 24

=> 3x + 24

=> 3 ( x + 8)

She paid Rs. 63 to the shopkeeper .

> 3 ( x + 8) = 63

> x + 8 = 21

> x = 21 - 8 = 13

> x + 12 = 25 .

Hence, the cost of the loaf of bread is Rs. 13 and the cost of a packet of buns is Rs 25

This is the required answer .

Given

The price of a packet of buns is 12 more than the cost of a loaf of bread. Pooja buys a loaf of bread and 2 packets of buns. She paid 63 to the shopkeeper.

We Find

Cost of both, the loaf of bread, and each packet of buns

According To The Question

Let assume the loaf of bread is Rs. x and We know price of a packet of buns is 12 more than the cost of a loaf of bread so we assume it Rs. ( x + 12 )

We also know that Pooja buys one loaf of bread and 2 packets of buns , So cost of items is :-

= x + 2(x + 12)

= x + 2x = 24

= 3x + 24

= 3(x + 8)

We Know She gave Rs. 63 to shopkeeper , now we find the cost :-

= 3(x + 8) = 63

= x + 8 = 21

= x = 21 - 8

= x = 13

loaf of bread cost is Rs. 13 and The Cost of two buns is :-

= x + 12 = 25

So, loaf of bread cost is Rs. 13 and The Cost of two buns is Rs. 25.

Verification

We Put The Finding Cost :-

= 13 + 2(25) = 63

= 13 + 50 = 63

= 63 = 63

= LHS ≈ RHS

Hence, It's Proved.
