Thermal decomposition reaction (Thermolysis) Decomposition of calcium carbonate:Calcium carbonate (lime stone) decomposes into calcium oxide (quick lime) and carbon dioxide when heated.
eg.When silver chloride is kept in sunlight, it decomposes to form silver and chlorine.
