Answer:

This poem has both symbolic and literal meanings. Literally it outlines the story of a woman who cannot stand, bound by a wheel chair who was taken into a world full of disabilities--and how everyone is confined like she is. In the end she learns she can make a difference in spite of the fact she is disable, we are all disable and we are all in need of help and overcoming. Symbolically we as humans are often confined by things that weigh us down, and blindsided thinking others have it better. The truth is we are crippled, we are all heroes and we can all overcome and make a difference if we just gain a little more perspective on life.
