\boxed{\bf{\green{\longrightarrow Given}}}

  • u = -20 CM
  • v=(+40cm)

\boxed{\bf{\</strong><strong>r</strong><strong>e</strong><strong>d</strong><strong>{\longrightarrow </strong><strong>Solution</strong><strong>:</strong><strong>}}}

  • Since Image is formed on other side of lens it has to be a convex lens
  • Using magnification formulae for lens:-
  • m =  \frac{v}{u}  =  \frac{40}{ - 20}
  • m =  - 2cm
  • Therefore the image is real and inverted, and is enlarged
  • Also object is placed between F and 2F of the lens to get Image beyond 2F on other side..

Hope it helps!
