While the new stone village is primitive, the modern village concept came much later.
- Various differences between both are -
1. The new stone age settlement was in remote areas and had zero contact with the outside world, while the modern village had strong transport and communication links and a reasonable link with the outside world.
2. In new stone villages people used to live in huts, while in modern ones people used to live in well constructed houses.
3. Main activities of new stone were animal husbandry, fishing and agriculture, whereas of modern were other machine activities along with agriculture, fishing etc.
