Q4. Perform an activity to observe change in states of matter. Write down the steps how you perform and draw the diagram. Write conclusion at the end. Take video or photo
Answers
Answer:
• The process in which the matter changes it's state and get back to it's same state is commonly called interconversion of matter.
It's common examples:
• Solid ⇒ Liquid ⇒ Gas
A real life example:
• As we know ice is a type of solid, mostly in some houses.
• We use ice and when the ice is taken out of the refrigerator due to the room temperature the ine starts melting and this changes its states form solid to liquid state.
• Basically liquid state in a common room temperature.
• When the solid state is boiled or heated up it's converts into liquid state.
- Example: Ice → Water.
• The water is converted into the water vapour as this is called the gaseous state.
• This is how the interconversion of matter takes place!
• There are many other examples of change in states of matter.
Definition:
1) Solid: The substance which is hard material which we can touch is solid. This is one three states of matter.
Example:
- Stone,
- Brick,
- Wood, etc.
2) Liquid: Liquid is a substance with is in the form of water.
Example:
- Water,
- Milk,
- Oil, etc.
3) Gas: Gases is a state of matter, it's the vapour which is also can be called as Steam.
Example:
- Water vapour,
- Smoke from factories,etc.
Note:
- Refer the attachment for the diagram.
- Plasma is also a state of matter.
