Given:-

  • Perimeter of Rectangle = 186cm
  • Length ,l = (5x + 6)
  • Breadth ,b = (2x+66)

To Find:-

  • The value of x

Solution:-

According to the Question

As we know that Perimeter of rectangle is calculated by

  • Perimeter of Rectangle = 2(l+b)

Where,

  • l denote length
  • b denote breadth

Substitute the value we get

:\implies 2 { (5x + 6) + (2x+66)} = 186cm

:\implies 2 { 5x +6 + 2x + 66} = 186

:\implies 2 { 7x + 72) = 186

:\implies 7x + 72 = 186/2

:\implies 7x +72 = 93

:\implies 7x = 93-72

:\implies 7x = 21

:\implies x = 21/7

:\implies x = 3

  • Hence, the value of x is 3.

Question:-

  • Perimeter of rectangle is 186cm, if length is (5x+6) and breadth is (2x+66). Find the value of x.

To Find:-

  • Find the value of x.

Solution:-

Given ,

  • Perimeter of rectangle = 186 cm

  • Length of rectangle = 5x + 6

  • Breadth of rectangle = 2x + 66

According to the Question:-

\dashrightarrow\sf \: Perimeter = 2( l + b )

\dashrightarrow\sf \: 186 = 2( 5x + 6 + 2x + 66 )

\dashrightarrow\sf \: 186 = 2( 7x + 72 )

\dashrightarrow\sf \: 186 = 14x + 144

\dashrightarrow\sf \: 14x = 186 - 144

\dashrightarrow\sf \: 14x = 42

\dashrightarrow\sf \: x = \cancel\dfrac { 42 } { 14 }

\dashrightarrow\sf \: x = 3

Hence ,

  • The value of x is 3.
