seawater.Rivers,lakes,wetlands and groundwater water sources hold less than 1% of all fresh

water,which has to provide for the world population.About 1.2 billion people around the world

do not have safe drinking water.Many of them live in arid regions where the water supply is

scarce and unreliable.Farmers need it for irrigation to produce food.Industries need it for

production of goods and electricity,people need it daily for drinking,cooking, and bathing.

Most of the worlds water is used for growing crops .Agriculture accounts for about 70% of all

fresh water use.Industry uses 22% and households about 8%. When water is used
