DATA INTERPRETATION

A, B, C, D, E have divided a sum of money.

A got Rs. 500.

B got 20% more than C.

C got the 80% of the amount received by E.

E got Rs. 200 more than A.

E got 70% of the share of D.

Hence, according to information provided,

A got Rs. 500

E got Rs. 500+Rs. 200= Rs. 700.

As it is given E got 70% of D.

This means 70% of D's share is equals to Rs. 700.

hence,

let the share of D be x.

70\% \ of \ x=700\\\\\\implies \frac{70x}{100} =700\\\\\implies x=1000

Hence share of D is Rs. 1000.

Share of C is 80% of E's share.

share \ of \ C=80\% \ of \ 700\\\\\implies share \ of \ C=\frac{80}{100}\times 700= 560

Hence share of C is Rs. 560.

Share of B is 20% more than what is C's share

\implies B's \ share=560+\frac{20}{100}\times 560\\\\\implies B's \ share=560+112=672

Hence share of B is Rs. 672.

So, the sum is adding everyone's share =500+672+560+1000+700=3432

Hence the required sum is Rs. 3432.
