Given :

V_1 = 5V\\V_2 = 2V\\V_3 = 6V

I = 4A

R_1 , R_2 and R_3 are in series.

To find:

Total resistance , Battery voltage , values of resistance of resistors.

Solution:

Battery voltage will be the sum of individual voltages across the resistors since they are in series:

a)  V= V_1+V_2+V_3  = 5+2+6 = 13 V

b)  Total resistance also will be sum of individual resistances in series given by : R = R_1 + R_2 + R_3\\= \frac{V_1}{I} + \frac{V_2}{I}+\frac{V_3}{I}

= \frac{5}{4} + \frac{2}{4}+\frac{6}{4} = 3.25 \Omega

c) Values of resistances :  R_1 = \frac{5}{4} = 1.25\Omega

R_2 = \frac{2}{4} = 0.5 \Omega

R_3= \frac{6}{4} = 1.5\Omega
